This card shows a richly dressed old man, who looks unhealthy and ill tempered, clinging tightly to a Pentacle. He wears a golden crown that is topped by another Pentacle, and he has two more pentacles under his feet. He sits in a tiny stone niche at the top of a tower. Behind him is a town decked for a festival, but he doesn’t see it.
Miser
This card means miserliness, greed, selfishness, avarice, suspicion, distrust. An inability to let go of anything. Someone who is an emotional black hole, who absorbs affection, attention, wealth, etc., but never returns any. Shortsightedness, imbalance, desperation.
